Ana Margarida Costa (b. 1999, Lisbon, Portugal) is a visual artist whose practice is defined by a rigorous exploration of form, intuition, and narrative depth. My work lives between instinct and intention. Some pieces begin through the physical pleasure of creating — a need to move, to press, to insist — and meaning reveals itself along the way. Others are deeply curated from the start, grounded in a theme, experience, or narrative I want to express with precision. I use what I’ve learned through experimentation to represent something that can’t be explained — only felt. My process is physical, emotional, and responsive. What I create is shaped by where I am and what needs to come through. I don’t seek resolution or explanation, but impact — for the work to hold something honest, raw, and alive enough for others to feel it too.
