This painting explores the juxtaposition of fragmentation and unity. The combination of human figure, ornamental pattern and dynamic abstract shapes blend together and intertwine in the process of multi-layered search.
Born in 1998 in Simferopol, Ukraine. Graduated from the Taurida University of Crimea in 2019. He currently resides in Porto, Portugal. In his works, Nicolai depicts the human body and explores ways to convey the ambiguity of feelings and emotional states. His technique involves multi-layered oil painting, nuanced color schemes, and a combination of figurative and abstract elements. In November 2024 had his first solo show ""Fragile strength"" at Bombarda Showcase - Porto, Portugal.
