This hand-built ceramic vessel reimagines a traditional form through a modern lens. Constructed using the coil technique, its asymmetrical silhouette and inward curve introduce a sense of organic movement. The surface is left raw and unglazed, with a coarse, matte texture that highlights the natural character of the clay. Light contrasts against the natural black clay accentuate the vessel’s contours, transforming a familiar shape into something tactile and expressive. The result is a piece that balances natural form with textural interest, inviting both visual and tactile engagement.

Margarida Neves is a Portuguese artist currently based in London. With a formal background in business, there has always been an urge to create, explore new materials and work with her hands. When she discovered clay, she fell in love with its rawness and honesty. A self-taught artist, Margarida dove into the process and found a deep sense of meaning through making. That journey led to the creation of ODARA Studio, a world she now invites you to explore with her. ""More than a name, ODARA is a feeling. It’s about beauty, but also peace, simplicity, and connection. A place to explore form, texture, and the beauty of imperfection. With every piece, I hope to create something unique, with its own character and story, just like anything found in nature. ODARA is an invitation to slow down, be present, and connect with the beauty of the everyday.""
